Welcome
to classbrass.co.uk which is the information website for pupils of Richard
Baker and the home of The
Class Brass Big Band. The first half of the summer term looks like being
busier than I imagined in the planning stage. Please come and see the
concerts if you can. Saturday May 19th: Hangleton
Bands’ Summer Concert 7.00pm at St. John’s Church, Knoyle Road, Brighton. Special guests for the evening are United Brass
from Belgium – often concerts like this provide the players and
audiences with some great memories of fun, friendship and music. Sunday May 27th: Youth Brass Band
Festival 2.00pm at Hangleton Junior School, Northease Drive, Hove. This
concert features the Youth Bands of Hangleton, Patcham and Shanklin Town (Isle
of Wight) and special guest Alan Thomas – co principal trumpet of the
City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Should be a fantastic afternoon
– we hope to play outside – please bring a deck chair or picnic

of a song for local song writer and musician Tim Kent.
